2016 Market Starting June 11th
The garlic scales are starting to pop up, and strawberries are beginning to ripen. So that means it's time to start the Saturday morning market tradition for 2016! Our first day at Squirty Worm will be Saturday June 11. Just a reminder that the first week or two may be a little slim, but as always, we will have more goodies and variety as the season progresses!

Payment Options - Paypal
There are a number of options for paying for your CSA membership. You can pay by the week, month, etc - what ever works best in your budget. Ber-gust accepts both cash and checks.
For those wanting to use a credit or debit card we use paypal. Please see the homepage of our website, http://ber-gustfarms.net/ for pre-made buttons with the CSA and corporate shares. From there, you can add the correct share type to your shopping cart and then complete the check out procedure.
If you would like the pay with a credit/debit card and are purchasing items other than or in addition to a CSA or Corporate share such as breads, jams, or canning quantities of vegetables, then there is another way to still use paypal.
Go directly to the paypal send money page: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/send-money-online
For the email to send money to, please use ber-gust@watchtv.net
Enter the total amount that you are paying, and send money.
Paypal will then ask you to log-in to your account, if you have one. If you do not have an account, click the sign up button. Select the account type (most likely personal, but you can create a business account as well) and click the continue button. From there, just enter the requested information and your account will be created!
Once you've logged-in to your account, you'll be able to review the payment and add an optional message. It's helpful to us if you include a short message with what you are paying for.
Then click the "Send Money" button and you're done!

2013 Lima Farmers Market Locations
The 2013 Saturday Farmer's Market will be at the same time - 9am until noon - but a new location. We're located at the Squirty Worm Sports Park on Robb Ave.
The Thursday market at St. Rita's is from 7:30am until 6:30pm. We'll be set up on the St. Rita's campus at the intersection of Baxter and High. Both streets dead end when they meet and you'll find use in the parking lot there.
Looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces at the markets this summer and meeting some new folks as well!

Candy? From Zucchini? Sure Thing!
Zucchini Candy
A couple of the Ber-Gust customers have tried this and agree - it tastes just like gummy candy...only better!

3 C. water
2 pkgs. unsweetened kool-aid, your choice of flavor
2 1/2 C. sugar
Put all ingredients in a pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Simmer for 25 minutes.
Drain
Dehydrate 14 hours at 125 degrees. Turn over and dehydrate for another 4 hours, same temp.

Recipe Goodness
Lots of our regular customers have been sharing some of their favorite recipes using Ber Gust produce on our Facebook page. We love seeing what everyone's been doing with the veggies each week! Here's some of our favorites that people have shared over the past few weeks:
From Jennifer Clark-Dalpe:
Zucchini tomato bake: slice zucchini, tomato and onions (all in this weeks bundle) alternate layers and sprinkle with italian seasoning and garlic salt on last layer add a sprinkle of soy sauce and cover with cheese. Cover and bake at 350 for 45 mins.
Corley Meg shared this recipe with a bit of a different take on garlic scape pesto that uses sun-dried tomatos
Chicken Burgers with Sun-Dried Tomato Garlic Scape Pesto
Aaron Kiefer reports success with this recipe for Zucchini Pie
We even have a video recipe featuring Ber Gust Produce!
What new recipes have you tried? What produce are you looking for more recipe ideas? Please feel free to share either in the comments or on the facebook page!
